- Add oil in a wok, then fry onion until golden brown in color.
- When the onion becomes slightly brown then add beef and fry for 1-2 min.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Now add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder green cardamom, cloves. Mix well and water and bring it to boil.
- Cover and cook until meat is 3/4 done.
- Add yoghurt and cook until water dries and oil separates.
- Add potatoes and water and mix it and cover and cook until potatoes are tender and meat is done.
- Add whole spice powder, elaichi powder, mace and nutmeg powder, kewra essense, green coriander and ginger.cover and put it on simmer for 1-2 minutes.beef aloo gosht is ready to serve with hot chapati or naan.
