This is the chili recipe the gang eats at Purdue Boilermaker football games. I always prep and cook the chili the night before and then reheat the next day. This is a combination of many different tomato-based chili recipes. Place the ground beef in a large pot and throw in the garlic.

The ingredients needed to make Chili:
  1. Take 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  2. Make ready 1 link sausage
  3. Make ready 1/2 slice onion- diced
  4. Take 1 packages chili seasoning- McCormick Original
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp garlic mined
  6. Make ready 1 can kidney beans
  7. Prepare 1 can 8 oz. tomato sauce- Hunts brand
  8. Make ready 1 can 6 oz. tomato paste- Hunts brand

It is so simple and has SO much flavor. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne (if using), and season generously with salt and pepper. Pour in kidney beans and crushed tomatoes and bring chili to a boil. Being in Texas, chili is a staple on the few cold days we have each year.

Instructions to make Chili:
  1. Brown ground beef in medium size pot.
  2. Add sausage when hamburger is done browning.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic
  4. Then add the chilli packet. stir add tomato sauce and tomato paste. you can rinse the cans with little water then add to pot.
  5. Simmer on low for 10 minutes then add can of kidney beans.
  6. Continue to simmer on low for 30 minutes.
  7. You can eat this with sticky rice.

Pour in kidney beans and crushed tomatoes and bring chili to a boil. Being in Texas, chili is a staple on the few cold days we have each year. This is something I've come up with after years of trying to perfect an easy-to-make and delicious chili. This is a very spicy chili and the perfect meal for a chilly day. The beans are optional here as they traditionally aren't found in Texas chili.
