- in large pot saute bacon till crispy; remove. save a small amount of drippings in pan.
- saute onion in bacon drippings till soft, add garlic and jalapeno saute for 2 minutes
- add ground beef cook till no longer pink
- add spices, tomatoes, beans, the reserved bacon, salt and pepper
- simmer for 2 to 3 hours
- sometimes I use different beans or meat, or chipolte for a little more heat. cook to your tastes add in things you like take out what you don't. enjoy!
